The future is changing fast and there is no single path to prepare for it. BTTF offers four interactive MOOCs, each exploring a different area shaping the world around us: the future of work, digital transformation and decision-making, media and communication, and human rights, equality and climate.
Choose the topics that matter most to you and create your own learning journey. You can apply for one, two, three or all four MOOCs, depending on your interests, goals and availability.
Each course combines expert-led webinars, real-world examples, collaborative activities, future scenarios and discussions with students from across the region. More than online courses, the MOOCs are spaces to question assumptions, exchange ideas, explore new possibilities and build the skills to navigate and help shape the future.
MOOC 1
Are you ready for jobs that don't exist yet: the future of work
What if the most important job skill isn't learning a profession, but learning how to adapt to constant change?
The world of work is evolving faster than ever. New roles are emerging, familiar professions are transforming, and career paths are becoming less predictable. In a future where change is the only constant, how can you prepare for opportunities that don't yet exist?
In this MOOC, you will explore how work has changed over time and what that can tell us about the future. Through futures literacy tools and practical career exploration, you will challenge assumptions about careers and success, identify the forces shaping labour markets, and discover how trends, technologies, and social changes influence the choices available to you.

How the future works: digital transformation and the future of decision-making
What if the city you live in could make decisions for you?
Imagine waking up in 2040 and discovering that algorithms help decide everything from public services and healthcare to transportation and local governance. Would you trust them? Who should be accountable when technology makes mistakes?
In this MOOC, you will enter the world of the Algorithmic City 2040 and explore how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, algorithms, and blockchain are transforming the way societies function and decisions are made. Through the experiences of people living in this future city, you will investigate questions of privacy, fairness, bias, governance, and human agency.

As media and communication continue to evolve, understanding these changes has never been more important.
This MOOC invites you to explore how technology, social media, artificial intelligence, and new forms of communication are transforming the way people connect, share information, and influence public conversations.
Through interactive webinars, real-world examples, and collaborative future-focused exercises, you will examine emerging trends, analyse challenges facing the media landscape, and test ideas through practical scenarios.

Whose future counts: the future of human rights, equality and climate
What would a fair future look like, and who gets to shape it?
As societies confront climate change, technological disruption, and growing inequalities, questions of justice, inclusion, and human rights are becoming more urgent than ever. Decisions made today will affect not only people, but also future generations and the planet itself.
This MOOC invites you to explore the future of human rights, equality, and climate justice through some of the most important challenges facing our world. You will examine how social, technological, environmental, and political changes affect different communities, question whose voices are heard, and imagine more inclusive and sustainable futures.
This is not a passive learning experience. You will explore different futures, question established assumptions, and co-create practical pathways towards a just transition within webinars, collaborative discussions, futures literacy exercises, and scenario-building workshops.
By the end of the course, you will strengthen your critical thinking, futures literacy, and systems-thinking skills, while gaining the confidence to engage with complex questions of justice, inclusion, and climate action in a rapidly changing world.
